Handstands on The Great Wall of China, jumping out of airplanes, joining the Peace Corps and moving to Chile are a few things that perfectly describe Andrea Scarborough's sense of adventure for life. Her first yoga class fifteen years ago rekindled a childhood love for inversions, splits and balancing that she developed as a competitive gymnast. Discovering a love for the practice she began to delve into Ashtanga, Anusara, Bikram and Iyengar yoga teachings and received several Vinyasa certifications. Her classes are challenging, playful and energetic yet accessible for students of all levels and abilities. Her teaching career began almost 13 years ago as a Bikram Yoga teacher in Fort Lauderdale. Her love of travel took her around the world and for the past 5 years has been teaching in Italy, London and was Resident Yoga instructor at COMO Shambhala Retreat at Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos Islands, British West Indies, an award winning health retreat which integrates yogic practices with a wellness team. She is able to able to use her well-honed business and interpersonal skills to manage the operations, human resources and retail component of the studio while still teaching a variety of classes..
