“You don’t meet John McInroy (Bodhi’s birth name), you experience him!” - Larry Claassen, Financial Times of South Africa
South Africa born John McInroy is a “... inspiring change-agent, social entrepreneur, ultra-endurance athlete, philanthropist”, TEDx speaker, social activist, international field hockey player, model, actor and author of “searingly, honest, almost cataclysmic” book Butterfly Man. He founded two social movements, Red Socks Friday, a movement that is connecting people all over the world, and the Unogwaja Charitable Trust with its very own Unogwaja Challenge, the legendary 1,650km 10 day bike ride from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg (which John has done on foot in 30 days) followed by the 89km Comrades Ultra Marathon on day 11 (and day 31 when he did it on foot).
He is now known as “Prem Bodhi” or often just “Bodhi” and is a dedicated and undoubtedly unique yoga teacher and after many months on the road teaching and promoting his book, Bodhi has decided to make his home in Barcelona.
Bodhi has deactivated all his social media accounts but you can follow him via www.barefootbeing.earth or take one his unique outdoor classes he offers every day at sunrise at the pier at the Barceloneta or in studio at Jivamukti Yoga Center or Glow Yoga in and around Born. He is actively learning Castellano and Catalan and welcomes any chance to speak.
